Counting well
- Encourage your child to touch each shape exactly once while counting aloud.
- The last number said is the size of the whole group; ask, “So how many are there?”
When an answer is wrong
- Instead of correcting the number, recount together using buttons or counters.
- For addition, start from the bigger number and count on: “5… 6, 7.”
