The Garden Treasure Map
One sunny morning, Adam was playing in the tall green grass. Adam is a small brown rabbit wearing a bright green vest. Under the big oak tree, something sparkly caught his eye. It was a tiny map! Maya, a soft orange cat with a yellow bowtie, ran over to help. "A treasure map!" Maya said happily. "Let's go on a garden adventure!"
The map had numbers on it. "We must start at the tree," said Adam. They stood by the oak tree and looked at the path. "One, two, three steps!" they counted together. One! Two! Three! Maya pointed his paw forward. "We are starting our big adventure now!"
Next, the map showed a shape. It was a bright blue triangle. "Can you see a triangle?" asked Maya. They looked at the garden shed. They looked at the garden gate. Adam spotted it! A blue triangle sign was on the fence. "That way!" Adam cried with joy.
The map showed a big arrow pointing to the left. "We need to turn left," said Maya. They walked past a very large, smooth grey rock. Turning left was fun. Adam and Maya held paws so they would stay together. "Teamwork makes us fast!" they said.
Now they needed to find a special color. The map showed four red flowers. Adam used his nose to sniff the air. "I smell them!" he said. They found the flowers near the fence. One, two, three, four red flowers! They were bright, red, and very pretty.
The next clue was very silly. "Hop five times!" said Maya. Adam was a great hopper. They both hopped together past a big yellow bush. "One, two, three, four, five!" they cheered. The yellow bush was soft and sunny. They were having so much fun exploring.
The map showed a green circle. They looked all around the garden floor. Maya found a flat, green stone. It was shaped like a perfect circle. "Let's stand on the circle," said Adam. They stood on the stone and looked at the map for the next clue.
"Look up!" whispered Maya. The map had more numbers to count. They saw beautiful purple butterflies flying in the sky. They counted them all. "Six, seven, eight, nine, ten!" Ten purple butterflies led the way. Adam and Maya followed the fluttering wings across the soft, green lawn.
The butterflies stopped at the very back of the garden. They landed near a big, old tree. Under the roots, they saw a corner of a wooden box. Adam and Maya used their paws to dig. "I found it!" shouted Maya. They pulled it out.
They opened the wooden box together. Inside were many packets of tiny seeds. There was a little note, too. It said, "Plant these seeds to grow a garden for everyone to share." Adam and Maya were so happy. They had the best treasure of all. They would plant them today!
